Yes, the problem is that gnuchess has been demoted to Universe because
gnome-games conflicts/replaces it. I'm currently working on patching

will be automatically synced into gutsy. It will very likely not be
backported as there are way to many dependencies and this is a rather
large set of packages. texlive 2007 made it into Debian on 2007-03-22
which was far to late

Feisty has tex-common version 0.42 and texlive-base version 2005.dfsg.3-1
Gutsy at the time the bug reported upgraded had tex-common 1.9 and texlive-base

I tried Tribe to candidates 20070626.1 and 20070627 Edubuntu Desktop
.isos in vmware on an intel imac ( OS X ). In both as it logs in X
crashes and I get sent back to console where it reloads gdm and tries

I believe this is fixed in Feisty. The index.html now has and /usr/share
/texmf-tetex/doc/ is symlink to /usr/share/doc/tetex-doc/ .

We don't support Debian experimental packages installed in stable Ubuntu
releases and won't be adding new packages to a stable release. Thanks

Debian TeXLive packages require additional libraries.
I'm going to go ahead and close this bug. The first reason is the
original bug it's not an Ubuntu bug as we just use the Debian packaging.
Secondly, there really isn't an actionable bug that I can see. Generally
speaking, Debian/Ubuntu packages are not supposed to have added value
outside of the co
