one more thing - the makefile mod fixes the driver build. Then you have
to run "sudo make" (which is odd, but anyway), then "sudo make install".
I had to run "sudo depmod" before "sudo modprobe -r r8169 && sudo
modprobe r8168" in order to activate the driver.

affects me and my belkin router. Note that this was not a problem in
Hardy!

I have this problem with my Radeon 9800 Pro on Hardy. White screen when
I enable compiz - only the cursor is shown. This is a problem both with
radeon and fglrx drivers.
For me this is a regression. Compiz worked fine - even on the LiveCD and

Sadly no, it doesn't help. But you're fix simply enables the fglrx
driver, right? and I've tried that already.
BTW: It should be ok for people to test their machines with wubi,
because it doesn't virtualise anything. All it does is encapsulate the
linux partition inside a windows file on the windo
I have this problem as well on Karmic final release. Is it specific to
nVidia TwinView?
