The link for the wontfix reason is incredibly old. Is it possible to get
this issue re-evaluated? I think it might make a good candidate for
papercuts, on accessibility reasons alone.

That's funny, because I've only just started to experience it. I think
the regression happened approximately a week ago, maybe sooner. I've
experienced it a few times (3 or 4) out of many more locks (40 maybe?).
The only solution seems to be switching to another terminal and killing

I have this problem as well: Firefox can get pretty irritating.
I think it deserves an importance of more than "Medium".

Is there any news on progress? I get this bug with the Cheese in the

I just posted on brainstorm that i once had this feature - but then i
did a clean install (for other reasons) and somehow lost it in the

I know realise that I'm wrong in 2 respects:

I hope this isn't a dupe. A few people (myself included) are
experiencing odd crackling / scratching noises when using pulseaudio.
This frequently happens when you try to start a new piece of music or
video. Sometimes it will crackle for a few seconds, then play as normal;

I don't really know where to post this information - I'm not sure if I
should file a new bug report or not. This is the first time I've
contributed to Launchpad.
I get the exact bug described here with 2.6.27-2-generic.
I get this line in the kernel log:

Has this regressed in the later karmic updates (switching to 2.6.31 and
some fairly radical pa updates)?
Apparently this bug was caused by CONFIG_USB_EHCI_TT_NEWSCHED and
CONFIG_USB_EHCI_ROOT_HUB_TT being enabled during previous ubuntu kernel
compilations, but I understand that this is no longer

Really fantastic work on ureadahead. Reduced my time to desktop from

Can anyone who knows how compile without 104_always_enable_tapping.patch and
