sometimes it shows weird icons in the notification area without there
being an active application to justify there being an icon.

it freezes when you click an unclickable greyed out arrow button. i did
it about 5 or 6 times thinking i had more pictures(wallpapers). then it
would not close. i also printed from the application beforehand.
