I use Gnome and have observed the issue on Ubuntu 18.04 and 18.10
(possibly affected earlier versions too but don't remember 100%). My
monitors are side by side with my secondary monitor to the right of my
primary. I have an ASUS nVidia GTX 760. The primary display uses HDMI

1280x1024. I just took two windows and manually placed them and at their
smallest width they overlap. At least I know why this is happening now.

It does now boot the latest Ubuntu 15.10 (and 16.04 Daily Snapshot) 95%

below but the solution isn't perfect and doesn't explain why wireless
works using the Live CD but not after installation.

Just a happened again. This time the computer went to sleep because of
power management settings. I didn't pay attention before to know if all
occurrences of this bug were related to power management or not.
I'll be sure to pay attention from this point on.

Same here:
$ pcbnew
The program 'pcbnew' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)'.

When I resume my computer from standby or hibernate I'm not always
prompted for a password.
On occasion the above behavior seems to be a direct result of this bug I
reported https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-
manager/+bug/661997 but I can't say for sure.
It happens randomly. Not every time. I haven't noticed a pattern to this
behavior nor can I reproduce it at will.

I haven't noticed the bug recently but my browsing habits have changed
slightly in the past few months. I haven't done much exploring that
requires bookmarks.
The last few times I noticed the problem I found that the site had
already been bookmarked in a different folder I had forgotten about.

live cd will load and run but with distorted graphics as seen in my
screen shot. After I install using the live environment the computer
