This bug stills affect the Thinkpad Edge... My Thinkpad Edge model is
the 01962CS, and I don't have a workable might under Xubuntu (11.10)...
The only workaround so far seems to be using a USB mic or headset...

Same thing here. After upgrading to Raring, font tabs in chrome began to
show the described jittery behavior. I've tried full uninstall, and then
install (chrome) with no success... I'm in Xubuntu 13.04, on a Lenovo
Thinkpad Edge 13...

to crash. The user is forced to restart the panel via terminal. A

In my case, not only user settings are overwritten and lost, but there
is also an additional effect: LibreOffice disables the visual styles
(Galaxy, Crystal, etc
Try with a random new document (it doesn't have to be the document
referred on this bug report). On my case, I have been able to reproduce
the bug several times (on Lucid, Ubuntu and Xubuntu), on several
documents (new or old)
a) Create a new document.
b) Paste a misspelled word, or a URL address.

I followed adviced post by Keith Taylor (post #2) and indeed, the error
message dissapeared. But as a result, I can't see any events happening
in the event tab (which is greyed out)
