Thinkpad T400. The system just hung with no apparent reason, only
responding to the magic sysrq keys. Syslog reports a kernel oops,

had a samba drive mounted that was in many cases not accessible in the

Setting "MigrationHeuristic" to "greedy" fixes the flicker too. Still,
the desktop loads considerably slower than in Intrepid, which seems to
be related to this as well. Downgrading to Intrepid xserver-xorg-video-
radeon makes it a lot faster.

Mine seems similar too... though this is when creating a new account
with the initial wizard. Same thing, filling in the values and clicking

But for me the system detects that the mouse pointer is there, because
buttons light up etc., but I cannot click anything... Not even the date

right-click the 'akonadi_gcal_resource_x' and choose reload. This makes

I've just installed Karmic Koala alpha 3 and had the same problem, ie
Windows not showing up in grub menu. I just ran 'sudo update-grub2' and
that fixed the problem. Guess there is a bug in the installer.

I'm pretty sure that the Finnish translations for GDM (the login screen)
are in language-pack-gnome-fi. This might not be the best place for it,
but it is the GNOME Display Manager after all. AFAIK some of the
translation packages were removed from the live CD recently to free up
some space.

These errors come from the Spanish translation of xfce4-session, not
from xfce-mcs-plugins. I just fixed them in the upstream svn xfce_4_4
branch and trunk (didn't touch anything else as I don't know Spanish).

I rebooted and the problem was reproduced. All the panels freeze and the
only way I'm able to fix this is to kill the gnome-panel process. After
that the clock applet works as expected.

just to find out that I should have used magic number "-1". Could you
add 'head' alias to revspec. This would help people coming from
CVS/SVN/GIT to orientate better to bzr.

Just did a fresh install of Edgy Eft and found to my delight that the
mounting of encrypted volumes now works without any patching. It stops
and asks repeatedly for a passphrase. There is only a small problem, LVM
tries to mount before the encrypted volumes. If I enter the passphrase,

Tried an easy, dirty fix today. Simply did:
sudo cp -s /etc/rcS.d/S26lvm /etc/rcS.d/S29lvm
Which just creates a symbolic link so it runs lvm again after setting up the
cryptdisks. Seems to work. Had some problems when just moving S28cryptdisks in
front of lvm.
