There are 2 crash reports, both are prior to the system hangs that I'm
talking about. The latest one was a crash in the Screenshot application,

My apologies, your responses got me thinking that the USB2VGA adapter may
actually be supported, just not configured properly.
I did some research and found in fact that it's been supported for several
years in linux, and modprobe picks it up in Ubuntu, it's just not picked up for
X configuratio
