I believe my problem here was with Bug #201673. Tracker was probably one
of the affected applications before I turned off my computer and
couldn't get it to start up again.

After configuring network-admin with a WEP ASCII key, I found that I had
to manually run "sudo ifconfig wlan0 up && sudo dhclient wlan0" in order
to get my network working. So I checked my /etc/network/interfaces.

Still happens here. The blocklist URL which is in the configurator is:
http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/splist.zip. When I downloaded this file
manually and tried to unzip it, it failed. Perhaps a different blocklist

1. It only happens in X.
2. It only happens when Desktop Effects (Compiz Fusion) is turned on.
