Tracker eh? Yes I have it installed I think. Doesn't it come with Ubuntu by
default? But something's wrong with it, in that the tracker daemon never
responds or something of that sort. I didn't really bother since I don't really
use it much. For example:

When trying to open a torrent file with KTorrent KDE4 through the
commandline, e.g. "ktorrent-kde4 /path/to/torrent-file.torrent", it
complains that KTorrent is already running and opens the KTorrrent
window, without opening the torrent file
I'd like to point out something: I had a torrent stopped because there
were too many open files or something of that sort. Only one torrent
running/existent in the whole queue/list of torrents. That torrent had 3
files. Perhaps the counter was not decremented when a file was closed?

libnautilus-wallpaper.so which is provided by the nautilus-wallpaper
package is found in /usr/lib/nautilus/extensions-1.0. However, Nautilus
looks in /usr/lib/nautilus/extensions-1.0. Putting a symlink in
extensions-2.0 pointing to the so file enables the plugin to work
without issue. In other word

install into /usr/lib/nautilus/extensions-2.0 instead of extensions-1.0.

"Enable roaming mode" basically removes any device configuration from
/etc/network/interfaces and allows NetworkManager to take care of it.
Disabling roaming mode will take control away from NetworkManager. So
you will be unable to connect via system tray icon. This is perfectly
expected behaviour.
I've generated a debdiff, a deb, and tested it on my computer. After
using it to add the interface normally, I found it to add "auto "
at the bottom, but the configuration for iface is in somewhere in the
middle. While that's not exactly desirable, it has the desired effect.

I've encoded a video into a file called "movie.mp4" with video codec
MPEG4, and audio codec MP3. Then there's the subtitles file, move.srt in
a UTF-8 encoded file. Using totem-gstreamer, when I open that video, it
doesn't detect the presence of ANY subtitles. View->Subtitles->

duplicate in /dev/mapper and so broke mounting partitions as they
claimed to have been locked or currently mounted. In this same way,
there the partition is listed once in /dev/mapper/sda5 and /dev/sda5.

After a recent upgrade, whenever the GTK file chooser is about to be
displayed, the program that is bringing it up will hang for a few
moments, say 30 seconds or so. For example, the open file dialogue in
Totem, and the upload file dialogue in

I'm changing the affected package to gnome-system-tools because that's
where network-admin resides. Network-admin has nothing to do with
NetworkManager.

I encounter the same error. However, in my case, after unlocking the
first time, the settings can be saved. If I close network-admin and
start it again, the problem begins. I cannot edit my network-admin
setti
Strange, it works well again. The problem seems to disappear upon
reboot. Perhaps some recent update fixed it? =\ I'll post later if the
problem comes back.

AHA. I found it. When my other computer (Windows, called "Familyroom")
comes online, then a computer should appear in smb:///. Also, it is then
that the gtk open file dialog begins acting up. Could it be because it
tries to browse the shares of that computer before displaying the
dialog?

Aah, nevermind I get what you mean. The ndiswrapper source is still at
ndiswrapper-1.50.

exactly? The ndiswrapper-utils is still at 1.9 even in the one

files from Samba shares. Is that supposed to happen? =\

I'd like to mention that the GTK file chooser provided by GIO doesn't
show network servers at all. Network mounts due to accessing of Samba
shares are also not shown.

Creating the wx.pth file linking to /etc/alternatives/wx.pth in
/usr/lib/python-2.5/site-packages does the trick, but it wasn't there to
begin with.
