I confirm the focus thing.
Running Unity (Precise AMD64).
I ve found out a value of N/A in the animation effect list. Choosing
another value (Fade, none, wave) and restarting compiz, gets rid of the

That is what I tried to do: I opened dconf editor and set the value of
draw-grid to false (unchecked).
Restarted lightdm but in vain, the dots were still there.
I appended draw-grid = false in unity-greeter.conf , restarted lightdm

Well for me it looks bad!
I really would like to set the transparency of the unity panel as I can set it
now when Dash is on No Blur. Yet I need to keep the dash look like it is under
Active or Static blur.

It's believed the full API of Google+ won't be relesead after long. So
for now, enabling a plugin for reading streams is of high importance. As
Ken said, the plugin could be available through a PPA untill it's
released by default in 12.10.

May I add, that this bug has been fixed in 12.04 Beta 1. The Sound
settings now switches automatically to Headphones Input and sound is not
disabled no more. Enjoy Precise.

The bug is still in 12.04 Beta.
It does not occur when using other desktop managers like KDE, XFCE
Only affects Unity (Lightdm) and Gnome-Shell.
Forced to use command lines to logout/shutdown:
sudo shutdown -h 0
sudo restart lightdm
