I just updated my kernel as u wrote and added the compiste option but
video is still freezing and flickering ..
any thing else to do BTW my card is ATI x1600 mobility ( pepou how did u
fix this issue ) .

I guess now its ok no freezing until now but still flickering while
playing video with ( emesene notification for example ) but , now it
better than ever .

Hi , am facing the same freezing issue with video, and with compiz
(using fusion-icon) after some time Restarting X , if going back to
xorg 1.5 will solve the problem and i can use fglrx I will do it . Does
upgrade the kernel fix this .

Hi , same issue with "ATI Technologies Inc M56P [Radeon Mobility X1600]"
i did not find any solution to this + another issue with video freeze +
when playing with compiz X restart .

This Problem caused by the requirements of media applet , I compiled and
installed Vala and GTK from the source code , after that the problem
appeared , removing those applications will solve the problem . I hope
this will help you .
