Sebastien,
I am currently experiencing this issue on my jaunty system. When I plug
in the MTP device, it automounts the mp3 player and adds 2 entries to
the disk mounter applet as well. Not sure where it adds 2 instead of
one, as only one shows up in the nautilus sidebar.
Once it is automounted

Since the update before the most recent one, the update which had the

ok sorry, that was my first bug report... I'm on ubuntu 8.04, with
bluez utils 3.26. I restarted this morning and hadn't tried the
bluetooth headset manager until just trying to get a screenshot for you,
but then it refreshed just fine, showing the refresh dialog and my

I ran aticonfig --initial in a terminal only to be told that no adapters
were present despite the fact that I do have an ATI radeon mobility

X1700 which is not listed as being supported by the ATI driver any more.

I ran the compiz-check script from this page:
http://forlong.blogage.de/entries/pages/Compiz-Check and it fixed my
issue. This was mainly that gnome was running it's own compositing
manager which interfered with compiz. Running the script told me the
problem and then asked me if I wanted to fix it.
I have an stk webcam in my ASUS F3Se laptop, and it used to work fine in
hardy but has not worked in any prior releases. Now in lucid it is
finally detected under lsusb, but not seen by skype or cheese. This
means I still have to use windows for times when I need the webcam

Did you install libmtp8 from karmic over the currently installed
version? I tried removing it and it wanted to uninstall rhythmbox as
well. Did you do that and then reinstall rhythmbox?

I still experience this problem. It happens in firefox with a myriad of
addons installed, but not in a fresh version. I google an address and
then it shows the map just fine, but if I try to drag it around or zoom
in/out, the map turns into a square of gray.

I deleted my preferences and this problem was fixed. Kind of an annoying
way to fix it, but relatively painless. I disabled all my extensions
first, one by one, to see if this was the cause, too. No joy.

If you can provide some instruction on how to do this I would be happy

without restarting.

Alex's solution worked for me as well, but before I ran the script I had
to do this upon every single startup. I finally realized I could
hibernate to avoid that. If it happens every time then the symlink is
probably the best option.

Sorry about that status change. I thought I was having the same problem,
but then it turned out my CD/DVD drive is broken and needs to be
replaced. That would be why these DVDs weren't playing for me.

Just want to note that the following will allow you to mount MTP
devices:
This is just a work around. I changed /usr/share/gvfs/remote-volume-
monitors/ gphoto2.monitor to allow the device to be mounted.
[RemoteVolumeMonitor]
Name=GProxyVolumeMonitorGPhoto2
DBusName=org.gtk.Private.GPhoto2VolumeM
For me this was caused by an x11 error: badvalue (integer parameter out
of range for operation) 0
I solved it by opening gstreamer-properties and changeing the video
plugin to no Xv.
