Updating to the 5.10 fixed this for me as well. That was the last issue

nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in mainloop_proxy_func()

--a little more info: Nautilus does not close until all of the files are
done copying. So if I past several files, I can watch the progress bar
until complete and then crash.
Moving something to the trash does not crash. Adding files from a
different source, such as saving from FIrefox to a folder
I am using 14.04, and have the same issue. It seems to have started within the
last week, possibly after some updates, but I am not 100% sure of that.
I have not changed any setting recently.

earlier this year, but was fixed for me up until the last update
yesterday. Now I am getting randmom white windows (does not happen all

Also having this issue on upgrade to 13.04 from 12.10: two pop-ups after a
restart, same error messages as OP described.
If I log out and log back in, I only get the pop-up for the "An online account
needs your attention", but no pop-up in Thunderbird.

I am having this same problem, but when trying to open nautilus (or
terminal) within a vncserver session. vnc error log reports:
gnome-terminal: /build/buildd/cairo-1.10.2/src/cairo-image-
surface.c:1320: _pixel_to_solid: Assertion `!"reached"' failed.
and
nautilus: /build/buildd/cairo-1.10.2/sr
I recently started experiencing this bug as well. Using Nvidia graphics
card with latest updates from the Ubuntu X-team
