On the tx2000z, I discovered after updating the bios to the new version that
there is an option that will fix this.
In the Bios you can select battery performance. If you select the option
"Performance" (the default is power-saver or something like that) then the cpu
will scale up when on batter

This must be my problem too. I'm not sure what charge level it was but
it was relatively low.

used the above command (gnome-power-manager --verbose --no-daemon)
and it gives a 4.0% charge (which I don't think is right but it doesn't crash)

Do not use this workaround
It kills power managment and temperature monitoring leading to a poweroff
because of high temperature.

If xsetwacom can get to the devices (and therefore wacomcpl) I don't think it
would matter if the device is a hal sub-device or not. As long as you run the
file wacomcpl creates (~/.xinitrc) as a session (or as jaunty calls them
"startup applications") it should keep

I can confirm reinstalling totem fixes the problem.
I simply ran sudo apt-get install --reinstall totem totem-common
And moved the video files to another folder and they received their thumbnails.
So we have a fix, but is it really a fix to the bug? The only way we can really

Whilst usplash is running, switching to any of the virtual terminals will

I have a question related to this bug.
Okay so here is the order of my boot.
First I get the grub loading for about a second (This is grub2 on ext4)
Then for about 5-10 seconds I get just a blinking underscore in the upper left
hand corner of the screen.
