Yes. Still have the same issue. I have kept up with the system updates
for 10.04, but after installing them, rebooting, and attempting the
upgrade I get the same error. I am looking at having to to a fresh start

I am having the same problem trying to upgrade. Tried removing the
xserver-xorg-video-nouveau package as people were suggesting and this
did not help me! I had a completely up to date system, and even when in
unchecked all my third party package sources in my package sources
before attempting this
