[Bug 334100] [NEW] sound stops working 8.10 with Creative Labs SB Audigy LS

Public bug reported: I have got Ubuntu 8.10 patched as of today 02/24/09 with Creative Labs SB Audigy LS. Randomly my sound output stops working. I have been through all the recommendations below to no avail. Logs don't seem to show any issues. The only way I get it to work is to restart alsa..
