can only have 4 *primary* partitions, of which one can be an *extended*
partition in which you can create as many secondary partitions as you like.

Thanks Scott for your reply. I connected the WD250gb drive and there was no
response. I rebooted and has worked for all of the operations I've run so

Been wondering why Flash has been crashing left and right for me in
Chromium (doesn't crash in Firefox). Finally Google returned this bug. I
can happily say that running it with XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 as stated

I started experiencing the problem a few minutes ago when I upgraded Plymouth

I was able to remove the files in the /tmp directory, but this did not

molecule-eye: I think re-suspending after resume is a separate issue
I am starting to see this again on Lucid 2.6.32-9 too, on the same system.
Prior to upgrading from latest Karmic a few weeks ago, this problem appeared to
have been fixed.

Hi,
I also experience this. My external drive is recognized by Ubuntu 9.10 when
used via USB. I use the eSATA interface and it is recognized in the BIOS, but
not in Ubuntu.

Fresh install of 9.10 beta. I've followed the instructions from
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats/PlayingDVDs#Ubuntu 9.04 and
9.10 (i386, amd64)
installed libdvdread4 and ran the command sudo
/usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh

I tried again this morning with Movie Player and VLC and both worked!
I'm not sure if an update was applied last night? issue now resolved.

In Thunar, when I right click to create a new file, the menu shows up so

Also, during the black screen the mouse is sluggish and the keyboard is
not responsive until desktop finally shows (not even ctrl-alt-F2),
except the num-lock key does turn light on and off. Caps lock has no
affect.
Another thing is that after clicking unlock on the greeter the mouse
cursor jumps
