The (very pretty) background image in current use on intrepid 'fails'
for vertical panels. As I understand it, the panel/engine/something
doesn't rotate the image, and just tiles it downward. Since it'd be
more difficult to fix the code prob
Update: I did some more work on this, and produced two examples. The
first doesn't match as well - I used a section without enough
transparency, and the highlights/shadows don't look right anyway. The
second I'm currently using, and has a better alpha match to the main
toolbars.

Shadow removed, rescaled to 2/3 length (now height), gradient stops modified so
it looks good on short as well as expanded panels, more gradient stops modified
to move highlights.

Note on previous set: The elements of the svg are grouped, so they'll
have to be ungrouped to work with the gradients, etc.
New set 'fixes' the horizontal gradients. Same licenses, of course.
