I upgraded my kernel on my pc last week and have nothing but issues with
sda errors and the system will hang and also refuse to boot alot of the
time
I thought this was just my hard drive so i installed vista and
everything is fine, now i have got my latop back from work whic

At the time of the crash I was using synaptic and had just installed the
latest smplayer from a PPA in order to use vdpau, the theme packages
that were installed previously were not compatible with this new
version.
As I was removing the theme package I got this crash, thats all the
information I

So in other words to use Ubuntu 9.10, people will have to install a
beta, then patch this bug and then update what carry on and mess about!

I also have this problem with latest kernel 2.6.31 x64 jaunty, on my
connection if i download at full speed i get disconnected within a few
minutes and have to restart the wifi, also if i am not downloadng the
internet will cut out at any time it decides too.

no it is not fixed in karmic x64 with all latest updates, still same
problem card will not mount unless int he slot before booting, dont see
why you should have to switch to vista, just reboot with the card
inserted bit of extra pain but works until a solution comes along.
