i second Darrin's comment. I have no interest in ruby-support. I have
ruby 1.9.0 happily installed and living side-by-side with ruby 1.8. Ruby
itself manages the gems etc for different versions of ruby inside
/usr/lib/ruby/.

(upgraded to Intrepid today). I put in the WPA password, and it takes
the password and both green dots light up which tells me the pas

im using flash10 and the pulldown list for microphones has just one
entry "linux microphone". i assume that is a built-in mic but my laptop
has no built-in mic. the mic in my logitech usb webcam works in ubuntu
just fine (sound preferences panel test will playback my voice) so its a
flash problem o

After switching apt/sources.list from dapper to edgy today and doing an
update and dist-upgrade, I rebooted and X failed to start. First thing I
found was that xfs was not installed (is this necessary any more?). the
real problem seems to be /usr/sha
i have a new thinkpad R61 with ubuntu 7.07.
the brightness function key works and i see the gnome UI element
to show the brightness lowering. it stays that way for about 30
seconds then something sends it back to 100% brightness.
