Hi, thanks for your bug but I don't believe it's a glibc one. If the
default line discipline for /dev/tty maps SIGQUIT signal to CTRL+\ it's
the correct behavior.
What postgresql tool do you use? If it's an interactive tool it should
catch or ignore these signals and this bug belong to it.

Same on edgy ppc, guess it's a case of doing do much work in signal
handler because it doesn't segfault when run with gdb.

ldconfig is for path search at runtime not for the linker during
compilation time. you need to add -L /usr/local/lib32 in your Makefile
or add a switch to your configure command line if any (cf. configure
--help).

I can reproduce it on edgy but only with hfs+ volumes, it's not a
nautilus bug it's a hfs one, even with mv you can sometime get very
weird results like stat() returning 0 rather than ENOENT!.

It's still there for hfs+. (it works with jfs in OS2 compatible mode).
It's a bug in the kernel module. Nautilus does something like that for
rename foo Foo
stat foo ==> 0
stat Foo ==> 0
rename foo, fooHHDJD ==> 0
stat Foo ==> 0 bug in hfsplus should be -1 ENOENT now.
