I'm also experiencing this bug. Even before the login screen appears,
I'm getting the same message as the original reporter. (In german
though.) A rough translation is: An error occured loading the theme
Human. The image "/usr/share/gdm/themes/Human/background.png" could not

Scrolling with the middle mouse button is still not working in the 9.10
stable release. This is pretty annoying and clearly a bug in my opinion.
Any Thinkpad user will expect scrolling with the trackpoint to just

The multimedia keys on my keyboarded worked out of the box with the
exception of the "stop" key. Instead of stopping playback it decreases
the volume (just like the "lower volume" key).
