I can confirm this bug as well. I believe this started when trying to
fix the poor video support in Jaunty for Intel video cards. (That is not
fixed btw). But I believe it's something with xserver-xorg-intel

See, I did an apt-get install xserverg-xorg-video-intel-2.4 just now,
and I can play the videos without any problem.
Not sure which version I had before though.

I have the same problem with my LG 22 L222WS on Intel 865G driver but
I'm running Ubuntu Hardy.
The fonts are also a bit blurry, see the attachment.

I tried this
xrdb -remove .Xresource / .Xdefaults
and got something that looked quite AA.
I remember I modified those files to get AA in Hardy.
(Not sure if it helps everyone)
