After having reported the same bug here, I stopped to use the drag and
drop, just copy and paste, to avoid any risk of freeze. After several
official, proposed, and backports updates, I try to reproduce the bug...
and I do not. Everything works correctly, while I have not changed my
graphic theme,
According control of this bug, I can see that it's not correct.
After update ubuntu 8.04 beta, miro package version it's not good.

The bug 106508 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106508) is indeed a
duplicate of this one.
It was advised to test the packages network-manager-openvpn and network-
manager-vpnc. That changes nothing there.
When I configure my connection statically, it functions a few seconds
