Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: hal-info
When I connect my Kindle 2 via USB, HAL recognizes it as a USB mass
storage device. It does not recognize it as an ejectable volume,
however.

Hmm... ok, this patch is probably not very useful. :( With this 10
-usb-music-players.fdi change, I can eject the Kindle just fine, and the
Kindle leaves USB drive mode, but I then get the following error on my
screen (not on the Kindle):
Cannot eject volume

Hi there,
I'm also subscribed to this bug, and I can probably test it on my
netbook. Do you specifically need the alpha release tested, or can I
test the current daily build? (I ask because I was trying to find the
dvd image for the alpha release, and couldn't.)
Thanks!

Testing with the upstream kernel (2.6.31-999-generic #200908141124) -
results are similar: nothing in xev, same dmesg messages, but hitting
Fn+F6 again seems to manage to turn the webcam off:

Binary package hint: deskbar-applet
I've only noticed this when typing "terminal" into the deskbar-applet.
Terminal should be in the history, since that is the only thing I've
ever launched with deskbar that starts with "te" (and I've gone in and
launched it with "te", "ter",
I've installed mwhudson's pptp-linux deb, and so far I haven't had had
any disconnection issues in the last two days. (previously it would
disconnect on average once every 8 minutes, if there was any data going
through.
