It seems to be an ALSA problem more than a TiMidity++ problem. I fixed it by
editing ~/.asoundcfg and commenting the uncommented line.
This also fixed a lot more problems involving ALSA.

After updating about four hours ago, about 11 AM GMT+1, and rebooting I
get the message:
""Volume Control" has quit unexpectedly" , and the options to reload or not
reload. Reload just gives me the same box,
and eventually I just clicked 'not reload'.
Strangely enough, I just started update manager, and the light
adjustment application started working. Now I'm totally confused.
Sound must still be adjusted from terminal though.

Was about to report it. It begins at about 20 MB RAM, but the RAM usage
grows up to 300 MB or so. This can slow down your system a lot if you
only have about 256-512 MB RAM. It seems that zooming in increases the
RAM usage proportionally, but zooming out doesn't decrease it, and
zooming it again wi
IMO this bug is a perfect candidate for Ubuntu Paper Cuts, it makes it
very hard to click the window and menu buttons. It didn't happen on
previous Ubuntu versions as far as I can tell.

2009-12-25 and the bug's still there. And although I browsed all the
code I was trying to compile searching for "#include " I
didn't found it, so I don't know why the error even appears.
Commenting those 2 lines on /usr/include/pngconf.h works, and the
compiled program works perfectly after that.

The flightgear package comes with two desktop launchers in bionic:

I don't see how removing shift-enter and ctrl-shift-enter is even remotely
related to the original request of making ctrl-enter open URLs in a new tab.
In addition, it breaks a preexisting functionality of having shift-enter

Installing libnss-resolve:i386 fixed it for me as well, but only with
Steam from the multiverse repos, not if I donwload from the steam page.
Could be a coincidence though. Had to try installing several times, but
now it's working.

screen with swipes from any direction. It seems to happen when I leave

LjL on irc://irc.freenode.net/ubuntu recommended me to use equivs, so I
picked ubuntu-desktop's config file, replaced "ubuntu-desktop" with
"ubuntu-desktop-lite" and "Recommends:" with "Suggests:", created a .deb
with it and installed it, removing ubuntu-desktop afterwards. This is a
workaround tha
