interesting/ironic thing is that i moved to fedora because of this bug
but after 8.10 i came back to ubuntu and again, same bug ! :) fedora

I can confirm it's working... at least for now it;s working very well...
Only thing before installing, you should create ~/.mozilla/plugins
directory and then mv libflashplayer...

I can confirm this. But on another hand there is something to consider
1) Adobe flash is proprietary and closed source, there is almost nothing that
ubuntu developers can solve in this case
2) Flash is very common program that it must be in ubuntu.
I can help resolving this by telling that hex ad

I've installed 9.04 beta and i still have this problem

I'm doing same just i use "gnome-screensaver-preferences" and turn
idle_activation_enabled... And wollah... GUI :)
Unfortunately this is only temporary solution untill they fix "gnome-
screensaver". But how comes in older version gnome-screensaver did work
properly?

I think I'm also affected of this bug.
attaching file from "tail -f /var/log/samba/log.*" from the moment when i try
to mount smb://confiq-bigcomp/video (confiq-bigcomp is local machine)
Interesting is that shared folder is "Video" and not "video", also

I'm also effected by this bug.
Just I'm using up-to-date ubuntu 11.10 and have similar problem.
The difference between my machine and reporters that:
1) I have "packet loss" when I ping my default gateway (aprox. 25%)
2) ifconfig tells me:
RX packets:1140608 errors:0 dropped:1140608 ove
I'm on 3.0.0-12-generic. The weird thing is that now works ok :(
Yesterday I had problems but since this morning everything is fine.
Just to make things clearer, I did check another OS before confirming that i
have this bug.
