My Belkin USB dongle worked flawlessly all the summer until I noticed this bug
about two weeks ago (¿8.10?).
I get the same error:

I confirm that 3.2.0-22 from

I am now getting this error daily, on Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS with encrypted home
directories.
It actually began after I installed a second Linux distro alongside, which
replaced GRUB2 with GRUB. I restored GRUB2 and began reguarly getting this
error on log-in

This is still an issue in 14.04 LTS. Not a huge problem perhaps, but in
the age of iOS, Android, Mac OSX and Windows 8, it's one of the little
bugs that makes Ubuntu a less than smooth user experience. I hope
