I have fixed my issue by running jokey-kde and letting it find my video
card and installing the FGLRX driver and use that instead of the RADEON
driver.
I can now reboot to a fully graphical UI without having to do anything.

Upgraded to Kubuntu 10.10 Beta from Kubuntu 10.04, on reboot I see the
