I would propose that a check be performed instead of issuing that warning;
Could console-kit-daemon not do an existence check before issuing that warning,
and then only issue said warning if the directory does exist?

I propose that Firefox is dropped from the Ubuntu repo's, or at least
from the main ones, in favor of a DFSG compliant browser; like
Iceweasel. It's the same thing but without the branding, which is
precisely what Mozilla is crying about.
I won't be running Firefox in the future if it means a EUL
I use LDAP authentication through PAM, and this bug has bitten me. When
trying to add a user, my password is not accepted, nor is the root
password.

I also have a diskless client running Ubuntu 9.04 which mounts home
directories from autofs.
The workaround suggested by Matteo Croce works in the meantime until a
permanent solution is found.
