video issue.

Little update :
I deactivated the proprietary drivers in order to run nouveau for a while. The
result in general is *slightly* better, especially with nautilus.
So this points towards a bug with to the proprietary nvidia drivers.

Update : I added the line "nomodeset" in the grub parameters, with the same
results.
Also, when I browse files in a wine application, it works flawlessly, without
this horrible lag I experience in a native gnome application.
Very strange indeed...

Ok, this was much ado about nothing after all...
This mess was caused by a faulty libcairo2 package in a repo I added to my
software sources list (the gimp-dev one).
I switched back to ubuntu's default package and everything's fine now.
This will teach me a lesson.
