I installed linux-backports-modules-intrepid, later when I lost the connection,
then I rebooted only to find out that I cannot connect wirelessly anymore in

I can confirm that wireless is not working here either. It used to. The
ifconfig trick didn't work for me, down reports no problems but up says
that SIOCSIFFLAGS: input/output error.

The command lspci gives me:

Jose Luis: a workaround is install mypell which will patch OOo with the
needed dictionaries, not as good as the other in my opinion (not so
localized i mean) but at least it's usable, that's what i did.

Low importance? in my opinion i think it's medium at least why would i
need a OOo (writer at least) without dictionaries (although the
workaround si possible), besides only ubuntu's version is broken, if you
install OOo from their page this doesn't happen.

Yep, i can confirm this too, however if you close the file from the File
dialog it will not crash (if you try with the lower x it does, but _not_
if you close it with File->close).

Confirmed, i have the same problem, but i woudl say that SEVERAL fonts
are not recognized as i have the "regular ones" that come with ubuntu
and all the windows fonts, but I only can choose from 10 or so.
