Can confirm this on my DELL Studio 15 with ATI Mobility Radeon 3450 HD.
What runs unusably slow with compiz since I upgraded to 9.04:
- restoring windows, maximizing windows, and unmaximizing windows, opening
application menus (1-3 freeze)
- switching from metacity to compiz using "compiz --repla
Just activated Bryce's PPA: Everything works fast again.
