I'm running metacity and trying to switch to compiz using "compiz
--replace" but it's failing with a core dump:
$ compiz --replace
Checking for Xgl: not present.
xset q doesn't reveal the location of the log file. Using fallback
/var/log/Xorg.0.l
Same for me with Google Chrome downloaded from
http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/eula_dev.html?dl=unstable_i386_deb

I'm running Gnome but I use some KDE apps on that system.
No crash handler for me neither.
