Upgraded from 8.04 to 9.04 and cannot browse by name. Windows cannot
see the ubuntu box, and ubuntu cannot see the windows box.
Worked fine in 8.04

Confirmed as still broken in 8.04. Tried both Live CD and ALT.

True, however, isn't this a problem with the installer behaviour?
What happens if you install without an ethernet connection? Shouldn't the
sources.list be left in a good state after the install?
Surely the user would rather see messages later about repos, rather than
having to hack the sources.

Fresh feisty install (alt CD) then installed restricted driver for NV,
then apt-get update, apt-0get upgrade, and I get this everytime:

sudo touch /usr/share/fonts

Ubuntu 7.04 is hard to use as a primary desktop at the moment, so I
thought I'd raise a general bug report.
Here is an example list of problems I found after buying new hardware
and installing from scratch using the "official" repositories.
1. Ubuntu boot screen not displaye
How? Send the package labels? :)
I thought there was a hardware-database-send option, but I cant see it
anywhere.
Is there an official way to send this information through?
