I think I suffer from the same bug, I've found that a package called hibernate in synaptic (or "sudo apt-get hibernate") works for me. Then in the terminal just do "sudo hibernate" (I have to do "sudo hibernate --force" as my nvidia modules do not unload but all seems fine on resume) -- [lucid r
