when trying to start it with the default Pacemaker, Corosync and

so about 18 months later this bug still hasn't been fixed? This could
lead to serious trouble if you are editing config files on a server
through gedit like I was doing. Files can become unreadable to some
programs.

before I can connect to VPN through the nm-applet I have to manually

The issue remains the same with Karmic Koala (amd 64).th After suspend
the notebook doesn't resume and doesn't respond to keyboard input
anymore. So you have to shut down with turning off the power. Does it
help if i install karmic koala, so i can send a report?
