Same problem with me. I have a Writer document with several formulas
inserted in. Looks fine in Writer, but when I convert to PDF some of the
characters randomly show up as unusual characters. Sometimes if I export
again, it seems as if some of them fix, and others get screwed up.

On my Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop I have the same issue with the touchpad
when I fast user switch. I plugged in a usb mouse to be able to regain
control of the pointer and switched back to the other user. Touchpad
worked again when I was back to the first user.

trend. Not only was my video card nVidia, but so was my onboard NIC.
When I disabled the restricted drivers for the nVidia graphics card, my

Today tried unplugging the laptop and running off of battery again. Now
when I use Fn + Up/Down Arrows the screen brightness does change and I
can get it up to a normal brightness. I didn't see any updates going
thru that seemed to be related to this, but I'm just happy it seems to
be working ok no
I have been using gwibber with the Beta release (no problems) and today
did a fresh install of the final release. Gwibber is now doing the same
for me for my Twitter account... nothing shows up.

I have had the same thing happen to me. It seems to occur when I minimize Opera
by clicking on the "O" on the toolbar... keeps it running in the background
without showing as an open window. When I click the "O" to maximize it, Opera
opens with it's address bar showing as a blank pull-down menu.
Similar thing is happening to me in 10.04 Beta 1 starting tonight. I had
a CD in the drive, ripped it no problem. Ejected the CD, put in another
and it was not detected. I can still see my drive listed in Computer as
HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50, but even after restarting several times it

I'm using the 32 bit beta, and the same thing seems to be happening to
me. Very random. I have tried ctrl-alt-F2 to jump out, alt-f1,(mouse
might be able to still move around) and even alt-sysrq+ REISUB (mouse is
locked also afterwards) with no effect. Computer is locked up, must hard
reboot. Let m

Looks like you can delete this bug. I reinstalled the nvidia driver, and
I still have audio. I'm assuming that some update in the days in between
resulted in a fix. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Same thing on my LG Shine on Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit. I'm not too thrilled
about having to run a script to get the USB connection to work, so I
have not tried that as a fix.
