I have been getting this bug recently as well. I am running a 1.5yr old Compaq
Presario v2000 laptop. I've been using Ubuntu Gutsy since tribe 5 came out, and
within the last month, after a round of updates, gnome-power-manager says I am
running on AC power, with or without AC power present. Als
i can confirm this. i have an daily updated kubuntu gutsy system and
adept removed digikam, kdm, etc etc when i only tried to remove the
kde4base-packages. Before I installed these kde4base* packages, kdm did
not depend on kde4base-data or something.
I asked on #kubuntu on IRC and "zeke" experienc
today again: i marked only kghostview for removal and adept also removed
kubuntu-desktop

I also have the problem that my laptop keeps going in standby. When i
resume, the "screen is locked" window comes up. You can then unlock the
screen and you are back Into Feisty, but after a few moments it goes
back into standby and this remains until you restart the computer.

It was indeed fixed in X.org git, but apparently the problem still
remains as xev still returns NoSymbol instead of a X Keysym when
pressing the mode button, the settings button or the fifth app launch
key.

I am running Kubuntu 9.10 with KDE 4.3.3 from PPA. This bug was also
present before I used the updated KDE.
Sometimes when I boot my computer, KDM does not ask for my credentials
(I did not set up autologin). Instead it tries to log in

soprano-daemon now recommends virtuoso-server and virtuoso-drivers, but I think
this is not enough as it will complain about virtuoso not being installed until
it is installed.
As soprano is useless without virtuoso it should depend on it and not only
recommend it.

It is very intuitive that when you add a VPN-connection with network-
manager-kde (the vpn tab is there), you can't connect to it. Most people
will not think of installing this plugin as a solution for their
problem.

OpenVPN, but IIRC it worked that way with all vpn types. I also made a
pptp vpn connection and that did not work either. Does double-clicking
trigger the connect action? Because that doesn't seem intuitive.

I've the same issues with the onboard GeForce 7050 nvidia card. Both
with alpha 5 and alpha 6. In my case the nvidia graphics card is the
onboard card on a ASUS M2N-VM (HDMI) motherboard.
I attached both the Xorg.0.log and the output of dmesg.
