this problem remain for me on Toshiba Satellite U205-S5034. There isn´t a
problem into Hardy 8.04 but after update ( and after check problem, reinstall)
to Intrepid, my external monitor crash after few seconds or many hours and I
need to reboot to get it again...

Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03), I fix the performance issue by
a change into xorg.conf:
Section "Device"
Identifier "Configured Video Device"

This resolve for me.
$ cd /var/lib/dpkg/info
$ sudo rm flashplugin-installer*.*
$ sudo dpkg --purge --force-all flashplugin-installer
$ sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin
--
package flashplugin-installer 10.0.45.2ubuntu0.9.10.1 failed to
install/upgrade: sub-processo script post-installa
This goes here:
$ cd /var/lib/dpkg/info
$ sudo rm flashplugin-nonfree.*
$ sudo dpkg --purge --force-all flashplugin-nonfree flashplugin-installer.*
and...
$ sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer
