the bluetooth mouse&keyboard work out of the box. I
didn't have to do anything at all!
So the solution for me personally is: switch to OpenSuse. As long as it's
Linux, I really don't care which distribution it is.

Release: I observed the problem in Intrepid and Jaunty.
Package (for Jaunty): bootchart (0.9-0ubuntu14)

Martin,
Please try to pair with another bluetooth device, like a phone.
If you can't confirm that another bluetooth device also works, then I'm afraid

Could you please test?
With my work around, I need only one bluetooth dongle, and all devices
work.

I have rebooted a couple of times.
My experiences:
* GRUB: keyboard becomes available after about 5 seconds. If you need
your keyboard in GRUB, set the timeout higher, like 10 seconds. I assume
that this is the normal time for the RF to make connection.
* GDM login: not tested, I use autologin

I reported bug 63024.
When "keyboard repetition"(? Herhaaltoetsen in Duch) is enabled, I have too
many keypresses. When it is disabled, I lose keypresses.
This bug impedes my basic human-pc I/O, making it virtually unuseable. I
have to doublecheck every letter I write. Most annoying are passwords
soe information that might be ueful:

On 15/10 I reported that the problem appeared to be gon when upgrading to Edgy.
Edgy is running smooth, and I haven't had any keyboard problems in 3 weeks.
So as far as I am concerned, the problem is solved and this bug report can be

Same problem as everybody else here: works fine during installer, stops working
a few seconds after gdm OR kdm. (Tested with Ubuntu AND Kubuntu).
Edgy 6.10.
AMD Athlon64 3000+
Logitech dongle + mouse + keyboard MX5000
Tested with a 6.06LTS Kubuntu cd: works perfectly. Even the mouse wheel
works.
