Install the "Advanced desktop effects settings" package (Compiz desktop
effects control panel), you can just go to add/remove applications for
this.
In this control panel:
- Enable "Workarounds"

Maybe I spoke too soon. The original document is FULL SCREEN again. It's
not the typical full screen; it's just the underscore the box and the X
have disappeared.
