Install apparmor utils
sudo apt-get install apparmor-utils
Run hplip-plugin
sudo aa-disable /usr/share/hplip/plugin.py
Run as normal user, not as root:
hplip-plugin
now the printer will get installed

When operating with file explorer, the cursor hangs and does not allow
to close, minimise or maximise the screen. also, the keyboard fails to
work. only thing i can do is ALT+TAB to change windows. However, it does
not help. To escape this issue i have to hard restart my lapto
I haven't downloaded the latest version. I will revert about it once I try
it.
