I used to use Ubuntu 15.10 for a long time and everything was fine. As
soon as I installed (clean install) Ubuntu 16.04 the dialog started
appearing every time I plugged in my earphones. Problem still present on

I was on Ubuntu 15.10 for a long time and I did not have any issues. A
week ago I updated to Ubuntu 16.04 and the dialog started appearing
every time I plug in the same earphones I was using for more than 2
years now. Very annoying.

Their response was that they have stopped supporting 4.x versions. Not

I believe this is a bug in ubuntu and not in Krusader, smplayer or
Skype. Did some research online and issuing sudo killall -9 unity-
settings-daemon seems to have an effect on things - although it does not
solve the glitches.

I'm testing with v3.4-rc6-precise currently.
On battery, using built-in WiFi, it is still freezing randomly.
I would say that it freezes rather when I'm browsing the web.
