Same issue on the workstation, few hours spent to fix it by reinstalling gnome,
gdm3, apparmor, loading previous kernel, switching to lightdm. Nothing helps,

Looks like these notebooks can have different models of touchpads (Elan,
Synatics, Alps). I did the same for SYNA2B60 (ELAN0634 left as it was)
and got a perfectly working touchapd (it has double finger scrolling for
example). For ELAN0634 your approach didn't give any result.

I've been experiencing problem in Ubuntu ver. 10.04, 10.10, 11.04. I'm not been
working with early version of Ubuntu. Which one version of kernel you propose
to start testing from (and up to)?

1. Usual suspend/resume test and here the dmesg.I'm able to reconect to local

see on "Input" tab "Device sound for input" = "Internal Audio Analog
Stereo". And chose a connector = "Internal Microphone". Checkbox "Mute"

What I've done - Open file in console by command:
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
and added to the end of file a line:
options snd-hda-intel model="lg"
Instruction finded here "http://help.ubuntu.ru/wiki/alsa";
May be problem was caused by updating from Ubuntu1

I just hit the same... google lead me to
