The issue is that I'm so far not able to boot from 13.10 after the installation
(the image on the usb key boots most of the time with acpi=0).
I'm stuck with the same error as reported by Ma Jun in #7
I'm going to try chroot to install 3.11-rc1 from the usbkey.
If you have a simpler way to get a
3.11-rc1 is not better (installed on a dailly 13.10 chrooted) :(
With acpi=off, I still get thesame error as reported by Ma Jun in #7
Without acpi=off, the boot get stuck at "smpboot: Booting Node0, Processors
#1" (No error message but it is stuck).

Same problem on a vaio serie F.
" options psmouse proto=imps to /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.conf seems to at
least help enable vertical scrolling. unfortunately touchpad still works
as a mouse." is only a partial workaround :(

Looks like something else is broken because the error message is wrong.
Python 2.7.2+ is >= 2.5 and <2.8.

Public bug reported:
apt-get install python-profiler fails this way on the oneric of the day:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
python-profiler : Depends: python (>= 2.5) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: python (< 2.8) but it is not going to be instal
http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/non-free/p/python-profiler/python-profiler_2.7.1-2/changelog
It looks like Depends: python (>= 2.5) is wrong/outdated. It should be >= 2.6
(but I'm not an expert in python modules packaging).
Even in Precise, ubuntu still make use of python-profiler 2.6.
I would say "importance = high" because on an up-to-date 11.04 gimp does
crash as soon as one try to launch it.

gimp-2.6 crashed with SIGSE
Public bug reported:
WIth gtkpod and a nano5G, I cannot add new tracks on the ipod.
With gtkpod, the writing process always fails showing this message : "failed to
generate sqlite".
It looks like this error has been fixed upstream:

On my sony F11 with an up to date kubuntu beta2 11.04 the touchpad
"works" but without scrolling (not even the vertical one).
I don't get why I see a "PS/2 Mouse in /proc/bus/input/devices because the
external mouse was not plugged when I did the

Brightness control keys on a Samsung N210 netbook are not recognized and can't
be used to control brightness.
Those are the up & down cursor keys (FN+UP and FN+DOWN).
The Brightness is stuck at 100%.

Is there a plan to merge these fixes and the samsung-backlight/tools/wireless
into ubuntu 10.10 mainline?
Things like "backlight control" should really work out of the box on 10.10.
