Evolution crashes (but leaves no core dump and does not trigger apport) randomly

I don't have the preview pane enabled but when I open a mail evolution crashes.
There seems something wrong with viewing the content of a mail message, either

This is since the upgrade to 13.04.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
I have upgrade Ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10.
Since then Evolution crashes for nearly any reason, like sending mail, closing
a mail.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10
Package: evolution 2.30.3-1ubuntu7
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22
As a workaround I change the size of the panel. Standard I use 35
pixels. When I resize the panel pixel by pixel than the icons are
dynamically resized and suddenly they are placed correctly on the panel.
Right click on an empty space in the panel. Choose properties and click
on the size arrows.
I don't get a crash dump .
