[intrepid] iwlagn freezes system while authenticating to network
https://bugs.launchpad
Public bug reported:
I am using WPA2 authentication in my wifi network. From time to time my
wifi looses connection and then I have a 1 second freez (I cannot move
mouse) and all my previous connections to internet are dropped.
I am about 4-5 meters from AP and 95-100% signal. No high traffic, ma

I can confirm NM 0.7~~svn20080928t225540+eni0-0ubuntu2 fixes problem with WPA
but broke down WEP passwords.
Exactly NM does not pass password to wlan interface.
When I type "iwconfig wlan0" while NM tries to connect to network "Key"
variable is empty.

Network Manager does not remember WEP/WP
I fixed my problems by removing old entry and adding new one. So every

Same situation on Intrepid.
I am using WPA2-Personal PSK authentication. Every time I connect to network I
need to enter password (WEP passwords saves without any problem).
Password is alpha-numeric with "/" inside (if this is helpful).
My wifi card is Intel 4965 AGN
Package version:
$ apt-cache

Hi, I tested latest Karmic with 2.6.31-2 and it looks like the bug is
fixed (finally!!!).
Actually I didn't tested to hard so I am not 100% sure.
About the channel I was getting the problem with AP on channel 2 and
channel 8 so it was not channel related problem.

These files didn't help me either, still "SW error..."
Additionally I suffer from kernel panics somewhere in iwlagn driver :(
