1) Try and lock the screen, see that works.
2) open gconf-editor, check the box in
/desktop/gnome/lockdown/disable_lock_screen
3) Try lock the screen, it doesn't work.

I cannot reproduce this bug.
I have two hosts too. I tried installing, reinstalling, removing+purging and
installing, and it works fine.
It says:
Auto configuration for Linux client of no-ip.com.
2 hosts are registered to this account.
Host x selected.
Host y selected.
New conf
I could compile it fine, using the default answer ([n]) just pushing
enter at each question, this might make the power-pc mysql bug appear
again.
The "bugging" patch is /debian/patches-
amarok/03_mysqle_link_to_amarok_executable.diff and Patch (the program)
thinks this is a reversed patch.

I just installed daily lpia alternate iso (as of april 20th) + ubuntu-desktop,
and still no sound on the hp mini 1120NR.
I ported debian packages for alsa 1.0.19 to ubuntu on a ppa
(https://launchpad.net/~minichoco-team/+archive/ppa) and installed it on the
1120NR but it doesn't fix the problem
I tried what Chih Ho said, but nothing worked for me. (HP mini 1120NR)
I guess the only last thing I have to try is a new kernel (2.6.29).

Okay, thanks to sedd, I thought: maybe I should use module-assistant and
compile the alsa-source package, and so I did that and rebooted and it
worked.
So here's the proper workaround for my HP Mini 1000 (1120NR) (without
any manual compiling needed!):

Gnome doesn't play any Alert Sound when everything is checked in

This is already implemented but it's hardcoded to not use this format.
Here's the fix to change the format. This changes the Mode to Medium
instead of Long. This doesn't affect anything else.

On my HP Mini 1000, removing any dimming option in the gnome-power-
manager preferences is a good work around.

As Nathan said, the versionning 3.12c-0ubuntu1 is conventionnally correct.
Plus, upstream has also version 3.12b. And one more reason is that their
tarball is named devede-3.12c.tar.bz2 so we have to match that too. And

Thanks for noticing this out. Looking at the maintainer's guide, it would be
better that ffmpeg2theora would be in recommends because the scripts wouldn't
work otherwise but you pointed out we can't so I changed the debdiff and moved
ffmpeg2theora into suggests and kept
